Roadworks to commence along High Level Road in Sea Point
11 October 2023
The City of Cape Town’s Urban Mobility Directorate will be starting with a road resurfacing project along High Level Road
The roadworks will commence this week and the expected completion date is 10 November 2023.
This project will include public roadworks and milling, which all forms part of the regular maintenance to prolong the longevity of the City's road network. The resurfacing will be done during the day from 09:00 until 15:30 on week days.
Traffic moving in both directions will be affected as work is scheduled to take place on both carriageways, but there will be flag personnel to direct traffic around the work area.
'Due to the expected congestion in the area, we recommend that road-users consider making use of alternate routes over the next few weeks. The traffic travelling in both directions of High Level Road will be affected, however the lanes are scheduled to be reopened to traffic by 15:30 every day, unless something unforeseen occurs. We thank you for your patience as we resurface this busy and key corridor in Sea Point,' said the City's Mayoral Committee Member for Urban Mobility, Councillor Rob Quintas.
