Residents of Scott Estate should please be aware that the City of Cape Town’s planned operation to connect a newly laid pipe to the existing water network in the area has been postponed.  This work will now result in the disruption of the water supply to this community from 09:00 until 17:00 on Tuesday, 20 July 2020. Businesses and residents are advised to store water upfront in clean, sealed containers for use during this period.

Residents should also ensure that their taps are closed during this period to avoid water loss and/or damage when the supply is restored. A water tanker will be parked in The Promenade Street, Hout Bay, to assist with water for domestic consumption where required.  Residents collecting water from the tanker must ensure that they wear masks and observe social distancing in compliance with the current Covid-19 regulations.

The City regrets any inconvenience, but it is imperative that it enhances the water supply infrastructure to benefit the consumers in the area.
