The Ocean View library serves as an invaluable community facility where members of the public can come to study, read or spend time in a safe and comfortable environment. The library is kept spotless and is beautifully decorated, thanks to the efforts of library staff. They go the extra mile and their outreach efforts are appreciated.

In recognition of this sterling service, Desiree Mentor, Subcouncil 19 Manager, handed over certificates to four librarians. The recipients were Carmen Fowkes (head librarian), Natasha Arendse, Fatima Kiel and Maureen Keet.

‘It is with great pleasure that I recognise the excellent service that the librarians of Ocean View have rendered to their community,’ said Mentor.

Ocean View library has been selected as the Area South winner for their Library Week display. They will be competing with other finalists in September for top honours.
