City teams attending to emergency pipe burst in Table View
24 June 2022
The City’s Water and Sanitation Directorate is attending to emergency repairs to a 300mm diameter water main that burst earlier this morning in Table View
All relevant departments have been deployed to the site to attend to this matter and cordoned off the area so that the situation can be assessed and the necessary repairs can be done in the shortest possible time.
Traffic Services and the South African Police Services are on site managing the traffic flow. Residents are asked to please avoid the area if possible. No buses will be allowed in this section during this time.
The Water and Sanitation team will start with the necessary repairs as soon as possible.
The extent of the impact on the water supply to the surrounding area has been significantly reduced by the rerouting of the water supply in the network. Residents who are experiencing water supply disruptions as a result of this pipe burst are advised to contact the City on 0860 10 30 89 or SMS 31373 or WhatsApp 060 018 1505 or email Water@capetown.gov.za
More updates will be shared via the City’s social media platforms as soon as more information is available.
The City sincerely regrets any inconvenience caused during this time.
