The customer relations team will no longer be available on Thursday, 10 August 2023, from 09:30 to 13:30 at the United Reformed Church in Silversands however, the City will communicate the new date as soon as possible.
‘The intention of this mobile office is to provide customer services to communities that are far from municipal facilities, such as housing and subcouncil offices or Free Call lines. The City is unable to do so this week as a result of the ongoing violence and lawlessness across the metro.
‘We are disappointed that residents now have to miss out on the opportunity and convenience of our customer relations team coming to their doorstep to resolve their outstanding municipal items. However we promise to schedule a new date for Silversands as soon as we have an indication of when it will be safe to do so,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Corporate Services, Alderman Theresa Uys.
The City’s Customer Relations Department’s mobile team assists residents with logging queries and service requests electronically on these days. Customers can also engage with the City on a wide range of non-emergency enquiries such as rates, sewage, electricity, water, refuse collections, and all other account enquiries.
To date, the mobile office team has been very effective in resolving long outstanding queries for residents.
