‘The City is making good progress with the new minibus-taxi facility in Masiphumelele in the Far South. The facility is located on the corner of Kommetjie and Pokela Roads and will be completed by the end of February 2019, if all goes as planned. I’m impressed with what has been accomplished to date. As can be seen in the photos, this facility has a modern look and feel, and will make commuting to and from Masiphumelele a lot more convenient and pleasant. We’re spending approximately R13,8 million on this new taxi rank which will be used by about 3 300 commuters and 60 minibus-taxis every day,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Transport, Alderman Felicity Purchase.
