City advises of water supply disruptions in Sections A, B, C and part of E in Khayelitsha

The Water and Sanitation Department will be connecting new 110mm water mains to the existing water reticulation pipeline in Makhabeni Road, Khayelitsha on Wednesday, 7 April 2021.This work will result in residents of Sections A, B, C and part of E being without water on Wednesday, 7 April 2021 from 09:00 until 18:00.
Residents are kindly requested to store water upfront in clean, sealed containers for use during this period. Residents are also requested to ensure that all taps are closed to prevent water loss and/or damage when the supply is restored.
A water tanker will be stationed on the corner of Mfundisweni and Makhabeni Roads during this period.
The City regrets any inconvenience caused, however, this work is necessary to ensure the water supply remains reliable.
