The City of Cape Town’s Traffic Service advises the public that 10 of the 16 Driving Licence Testing Centres (DLTCs) will be closed tomorrow, Saturday 28 July 2018.

These are: Brackenfell, Durbanville, Elsies River, Goodwood, Bellrail, Lingelethu West, Kuils River, Gordon’s Bay, Hillstar and New Ottery.

Atlantis and Fish Hoek DLTCs will operate as normal, while the four remaining DLTCs will offer limited services to the public, as outlined below:

• Milnerton to operate as normal, excluding fine payments and issuing of disabled discs
• Gallows Hill will only assist with driving licence tests, card collections and enquiries
• Eastridge will only assist with learner and driving licence bookings; card renewals and collections; and professional driving permit applications
• Joe Gqabi will only assist with driving licence card collections
• The impact on the services relates to a dispute about weekend work. All of the DLTCs will therefore be fully operational again on Monday.

The individual centres will contact learner and driving licence applicants whose appointments are affected by this and will advise on alternative dates. The City apologises for any inconvenience and we hope to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
