The year 2019 has been a memorable one with a mix of celebrations and challenges. As we reach the final stretch, I would like to extend my sincere wishes during this time that is spent with family and loved ones. Let it bring us all closer together.

I also hope that part of this period of giving and joy will be spent caring for those less fortunate, so we can all work towards further supporting our efforts as a caring city.

I wish all our residents a Merry Christmas and a safe and happy festive period. Please celebrate responsibly; do not drink and drive and look after your little ones.

I would lastly like to wish all visitors an enjoyable time in our beautiful city, experiencing the impressive variety of attractions on offer.

Let us welcome 2020 with renewed energy and ready for the work that lies ahead.
