​A long-anticipated perimeter fence around the Avondale Street public open space in Ward 3 has now been installed. The work was done in two phases, with the initial section of fencing installed along the Mabel Street side after which work was done along Avondale Street.

The project was made possible thanks to ward allocation funding in the amount of R120 000 that was made available by Cllr Brendan Van Der Merwe from the 2015/16 budget.
