Waste Education and Recycling Programme
The aim of the Waste Education and Recycling Programme is to get schools, learners and educators to begin recycling at their schools.
Reduce and recycle at your school
We want to teach children, youth, teachers and parents alike how to recycle. Finding clever and effective ways to reuse and reduce waste will save schools money, bring in a little bit of profit and help cut down the volumes of waste being sent to landfills. You can also check out the City's Solid Waste Education Resources to find out more about recycling.
Top tip
Starting a recycling centre at school can be one of the best ways to cut down on waste and educate learners and teachers alike. Find out more about how to set up a recycling centre and how to conduct a waste audit.
